The customer was using two strands of OEM’s RS100 narrow chain with threaded pins that holds the trays used to mold the liquid chocolate. They had issue with elongation due to poor lubrication and pin breakage. Tsubaki recommended the RS100 narrow Lambda and an integral pin design. The Lambda chain solved the poor lubrication issue and the new pin design resolved the pin breakage. OEM chain lasted 5 years with downtime and preventative maintenance hours incurred. Tsubaki chain lasted 6 years with no breakage and lost production hours resulting to $131,886 in cost savings.
